Edwards Executive Team 2019-2020
Your Executive Team, Residence Assistant Team, and Don are so excited to welcome you to the house! Feel free to contact any of us with questions you might have about Mount A, Edwards, university, our studies, or the extra-curricular activities we're involved in. We can't wait to get to know you!
Laika Dadoun- President
Hey fellow Mountie/Bulldog to be! I’m Laika, your soon to be house president. This year I’m going to be the head of a swanky little team in place to help make sure our little house has some cool events and soap in the kitchens 😂! We’re here to help you transposition into University life and feel more at home.
Edwards is known for being a hodge-podge of different personalities and values that come together to make up a family like atmosphere. Personally I want to encourage anyone coming in to know that you are welcome be you an artsy soul, a soccer fiend or math wiz; a recluse or a social butterfly, everyone has a place in the bulldog house!
Respect and a welcoming spirit are at the core of the bulldog heart so don’t be afraid to reach out to me be it on Facebook (Laika Dadoun) or instagram (laikadadoun) or even my e-mail ([email protected]). I know it can be tough figuring out what school and what residence to go to, so just know I really want to hear from you!
I guess I should probably let you know a little about myself! I’m from Ontario and am taking a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Museum and Curatorial studies. I have super awesome shoes that look like Toms...if Toms had cats wearing sunglasses on them and honestly I like to think my personality really suits my choice of foot-wear. And most importantly, I’m someone who can’t wait to meet you!!! 🐶

Olivia McCarthy - Vice President
Jonathan Dares-Secretary/Treasurer
Hello, I am Jonathan. I am the secretary treasurer this year. This will be my second year at mount Allison and second year in Edwards house. The best way to contact me during the school year is to message me on fb or find me in my room on the games lounge. (RM 228 or 230 one is my room the other is the games lounge not sure which is which) I am a Bachelor of arts student right now majoring in music.
Abby Langille - Social Chair
Hey guys! My name's Abby, nice to meet you! I'll be one of Edwards 2019-2020 Social Chairs, and will be keeping you up to date on events happening on campus and in Edwards! I'm going into my second year at Mount Allison and am majoring in psychology. I'll be helping keep Edwards connected with other residences. In Edwards, I want to have activities and events happening that meet a wide range of interest, and I'll be more than happy to take suggestions! Feel free to message me on Facebook, or send me an email at [email protected]. You can also find me at room 210, my door is always open! I'm from Nova Scotia, love the beach, hiking and road trips (especially when my dog is with me!). I'm always game to hit up a cafe, too😊 See you in the fall!
Justin Hughes - Social Chair
Hey guys! My name is Justin Hughes and I will be one of your social chairs for the 2019-2020 year! I am a 3rd year Science student doing a BSc in Computer Science and a double minor in Math and Economics (in other words: a degree all about numbers :D). I love to cook and you will likely see me around one of the kitchens in house baking some sort of dessert (but don’t worry, I will share my creations with the house haha). When I am not in the kitchen, you will probably find me at the library, or chilling in my room (#224). I decided to be a social chair because I love to be around people, and because I want to ensure that Edwards is a high-spirited residence where everyone feels welcome. If any of you guys have questions about Mount A, Edwards, or generally just want to chat, feel free to send me a message on Facebook (Justin Hughes) or an email at [email protected].
Maddy MacDonald
Hello future Edwardians! My name is Madeline (or maddy works too!) and I will be your third floor RA for the 2019-2020 academic year. I’m from the Annapolis Vally in Nova Scotia, and I’m entering my second year at Mount Allison where I’m majoring in biology. Some of my hobbies include cycling, playing volleyball, spending time in nature, watching movies, eating chocolate and reading (I’m always ready to listen if you need to rant about an amazing novel or cliffhanger ending). If you have any questions or would just like to chat feel free to message me on Facebook or send me an email at [email protected]. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you!
Hi all! My name is Alex and I will be your 2nd floor RA in the 2019/2020 academic year. I’m currently doing a BMus and studying percussion, so if you want to fulfill your dreams or creating a rock band you should hit me up and we’ll make millions, I promise. I love meeting new people so if you ever see me around feel free to say hi! I’m always down to talk or just give an encouraging high-five on your way ta a class. My door is also almost always open so feel free to stop by as long as you have food to give away. Have a super awesome year future bulldogs!
Alex Marr -RA
Grace McLean-RA
Hey guys! My name is Grace and I will be your basement floor RA in the 2019/2020
academic year. I’m from small-town Alberta so if you are far from home, I can definitely
sympathize. I’m going into my second year at Mount Allison and I am majoring in English
(yes, I know I already know English). I am really into music so if you have any band
suggestions, let me know! I am always open to talk, just knock loudly because chances are, I
have earbuds in. Study hard but have fun, hope you have a great year!

Toni-Anne Dixon - Assistant Don
Hi, I’m Toni! I’m the Assistant Don for the year 2019-2020. I’m a second year student currently majoring in Biochemistry. I’m also an international student, from the island of Jamaica. I chose to apply for this position because it not only builds my character but I love the fact that I can help somebody in more ways than one. I also love that I contribute along with my team of RAs to making our space a positive, inclusive and safe one. I look forward and strive to create an atmosphere that feels like home even though we are so diverse and from different walks of life. Edwards House is the place to be!
